Choke is always on

Choke is always on
My choke is always on. The choke **** is non responsive. The **** is always lose. Maybe something is disconected??. Has anyone ever had this problem?? Would appreciate a reply. Oh yeah it is a 83 gsl. 12a and thank you in advance.
