30x18x2

for $80 holy ****.

if I could get this in and working would it cause to much resistance.

I am mainly considering it because this will be a daily driver and reliability and saftey is at a premium.

the car might have a Mazdatrix body kit but I think it would still work.

even if it works, would you want a huge diesel truck part in your tiny li'l ReX?

im looking at these also if I got the Mazdatrix front end.

I could mount it right in the front opening, it would look sick.

I got one of them in my buick..works like a champ

If you can find one of the alum tank ones you can cut the height downd and cap the taks back off

btw you can find some dealers who sell them for $250 strait from ford

thanks ...yea I agree these cars are something else..

hard to believe the power they pack even stock its crazy for such a small motor in a big car to go like it does.

sure you can see mines not stock weighs in over 3600# with me in it and is running 10.90's at 127 mph and still get from 25-27 mpg on the trip there and back.

BTW: that motors going in a 1st gen but dont tell nobody they hate motor swaps on here

First Options would be any one out of the
Izusu NPRs
then
Volvo

I dont care what people say about you will have a truck part in your car..

dollar to dollar your out come will be worth it compared to a $1200. Greddy or Any other brand FMIC.
I seen NPR FMIC go on the avarage about $150-$200.

Volvo one usally $150. or less.I can get them at a local junk yard for $60. if I can get it before others.

Yeah the $1200. will be an eact fit for some cars..but I guess stupidty does cost,I rather spend $200. and do my mods to fit it in,and save that extra cash on more upgrades. Why does it matter if it came off of a truck?

So I guess you wouldnt drop a Ford 9 in in a 7,or how about a Turbo bigger than a T3?

Junk yard parts are fun,why be normal?Alot of the best modded cars out there have parts from another,People been doing it for ever...

I didnt mention the Izusu NPR is probally good for 400-600 hp..Alot of Rotary drag people in PR use them, this is when you dont have fancy sponsors to help you out on parts and you got to find another route.

It'll be too much of a hassle even for it's $80 price, plus you'll have to worry about lag if the IC's too big.

so far all the buick guys who have switched to the ford i/c dont find any difference in lag.

I have a t-70 turbo on my car so a lil lag is normal but is very streetable

I havent gotten to the sweet spot of the 70 turbo which would be in the high 20'sto 30# boost and my car is high 10's at 127 with only 23#

once I get the fuel curve strait i'll be going up on boost but right now im leaning it out up top so cant turn the boost up till I find the problem

I'll be on the hunt for a alum tank ford i/c to cut down and install in the front of a 1st gen.

I have several pics of the green car that thing is badd *** but there is no way that it could be driven daily

my goal is to drive it daily be able to run 9's and get close to 30 mpg and not have to gut the car ...still want options and soundproofing.

I'm in Newport News way over here on the east coast.

there is a I/C'd buick for sale out here for like $4000 but a friend of mine looked at it and said its kinda rough

around here there are plenty of dead motored Rx7's so by getting one and putting my motor in it I'm saving it from a trip to the crusher and If I do get one that runs the motor will be sold so that will in turn get another one on the road that needs a motor so either way I will be saving one from death.

suppose to be getting some snow later today and tonight so I need to get out there and make sure the 3 wheelers gassed up ready to go play

I like this picture too
