There is a set from Moss Motors at MiataMainia.com for $440, there are instructions at the bottom.
They do go up and down.

I was unable to post the link.

well define EAZY the 1 side took 10 hours to get on and working right then the other side went on in a few more i paid 500$ for the miata kit and cut it up to make it work... the only bad thing about the kit was the lights, they leaked water in all the time and that pissed me off.

Guess I should have said "can be" instead of easily, I didn't really know the difficulty.
I wonder if theres a big difference in the various kits.

I had not thought about water leaking in, the stock unit seems to have tight surround compared to all the kits.
What was the result of the water leaking in? Where does it go?

Steve.

Which kit did you purchase? They all seem to be similar, but some of them appear to use different lights. The Miata.org one appears to use larger, possibly cheaper lights (the kit is $349.99 USD). However the Moss kit appears to have a more "sealed" look ($439.00 USD).

(Left is Miata.org's BSP kit, right is Miatamania.com's Moss kit).

(P.S. I forgot how to do thumbnails, sorry )

Hey guys,

I had the mod done about two years ago with no major problems or bulb replacement...... I have, however, seen some water spots on one headlight.

Question

Just one more question.

Do the kit severely limit the seeing ability of the driver (as far as illumination)?

hum... I'm not sure what happened to my post, I guess I'll try it again.

I'm going to try to install a miatamania kit (their warehouse is just down the street) on my 82 in a couple of weeks, since i'm now unemployeed, I'm probably going to do a full writeup on my experience with pictures, i'll keep you guys posted.

that set aslo doesn't reach the end of the lid of the headlight. You could probably put like the a glass shield over it and help reduce of water spots or water leakage, wouldn't be a bad idea ......
