Cheap 45 DCOE?

Hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction...

A couple months ago, I remember reading a thred and going to a corresponding website for a vendor who was selling new weber 45 DCOE's with Lake style mani's for around 500 bucks. Does anyone remember this?

Much appreciation...

That was probably me. Either my memory stinks or they have gone up in pricing. I think it's like 6-700 now. Still a hellava deal for a new one if you ask me.

Here's what I'm thinking of doing.

Buying the intake from here:

http://www.mazdaracing.com/carbs.htm

and then getting the 45DCOE used off of Ebay. Right now they are going for around $200. Maybe you could get the whole deal for $400???

Hey guys, is this a dumb idea? Has anyone else done it that way? Can you use a used 45DCOE weber on a rotary?

Yea, coulda sworn it was 475 or so for the set. I dunno, seems stupid cheap now that I think about it, but who knows.

As far as buying a used carb, I'm tired of the hassle of having them rebuilt and crap. It's worth the extras 100-150 to not have to worry about whether or not it's gonna work.

rebuilding is no prob. for me. I guess my main question here is if I use just any ole' weber, what do I have to do it for it to run on my rotary? anything other than fine tuning?

What do you do about vacuum hoses? I.E. vacuum advance timing, crankcase vent, a/c.
