Angry charging system

I recently installed a racing beat intake carburator and headers for my 80 rx7.I stripped all the emission controls off leaving a narly wiring harness laying on top off my engine, so I wacked it. I did leave the one wire in the harness for the alternator which should have 12v power when the ignition switch is on, but it doesnt. I checked all fuses and their good. As a result my alternator doesnt charge the battery. Not sure what to do??????

I assume that you did this check with the engine running-right?

Have you got a Haynes or a shop manual? If not, I'll try to send you a copy of the wiring diagram with colour codes.

charging failure

Yes the engine was running, and I do have a haynes manual. The manual includes wiring diagram for 79 with external regulator which is totally different. It also has diagram for models 81-85 but not for the charging system. If you have a diagram for 80 charging system I would love to have it, thanks
