Changing motor mount

Is it hard to install the motor mounts without taking out the motor?

I've done them with engines in and out. Out is easier.

its also possible to unbolt the engine from the mounts and raise it a couple of inches with a hoist and access the mounts that way.

I have changed the front engine cover without taking the engine out so the mounts will not be a big thing.

You just need to get a flat block off wood to position between the floor jack and the oil pan and use that as a support for the engine.

Make sure your fan spins free after you replace the mounts- on mine the new mounts raised the engine a little bit binding the fan and I burned my clutch fan up. I just had to share one of many stupid mistakes I've made that cost me money.
