ceramic coated rotors,

hey i was wondering if anyone here has ceramic coated thier rotors, to reduce carbon buildup or w/e

i know that theres companies that do it, how much does it cost,

also i heard that you can get ceramic paint from some automotive shops, like lordco or autozone, like a kit, i wanted to try this on engine internals you can bake it in an oven or something, sounds like a good idea to me!!
any objections suggestions,

anyone know what this stuff is called?

Ceramic paint from an auto store? For some reason I don't think that could withstand the conditions inside a rotary engine...

http://www.jhbperformance.com/ Here's a company that does ceramic coating. It seems like a great idea, but I would stay away from anything that you might get at a parts store. JBH would probably be able to do an infinately better job.

Improved thermal efficiency is the big plus with PROFESSIONAL coatings.

That would be a HORRIBLE idea! That is mearly paint that just sticks a little better, and it will come off pretty easy too. Its made for dressup jobs that dont get touched very much, if at all. Now the companys like JHB are where its at. They do it right, and this method is usually used to re-finish for a rebuild. This is also what you need for any engine if you plan on to use hydrogen power.

We have a guy in the Canadian forum who's been driving with the JHB coating for a while now...
