center console all coming up and out
We bought this 85 rx7 gsl in 1997 for $2000. For cosmetic it would of been near show room condition if the previous owner didn't put a little dent on the front side passenger section. But oh well. What can you do? This car still was a charmer a to me. Smooth running, fast, fiesty, the way you can corner it, the over-whelming feeling I got from just sitting in this sweet little car just made me feel so good and comfortable. The engine when we bought it had its few tiny problems and we maintained it since we got this car. Anything a lot bigger we got that taken care of as quickly as possible. This car was needed badly and I just loved being behind the wheel of this little feisty bugger.
This was the good ole days that I wish never was slowly but quickly taken away from me.
Again we bought the car for $2,000 but it the mechanical problems we got from it became far more then that. Right now it has at least gross $8,000+. I hardly took the car in myself for the repairs, I would come with my father or someone else to pick up the car to find out everything with the car and once that total would just hit my ears I would just look at that car and see money flying out of it. The car's everything was actually deterioting and even though I'm use to having cars with the usual case of problems this car's was far exceeding them. This car went down from slowly going down to fast approaching a grave. At this time I started to save money to get a new car and each day I would actually sit there before I started the car and prayed that it will take me to point B and back. This does get very annoying. Probably like reading all of this to anyone is still interested in this at this time. I wouldn't blame you for going
Oh well. Your choice.
Anyhow week before Christmas I was let out of work early and I was driving home when I heard this sound that for a second I thought it was a blown tire then the center console came all up and all this stuff came flying on me. Luckily I was able to get to the side without hurting anyone. I turned off my engine and looked fully at the center console of my car and it was actually what I saw and not imagined. It was all up. At the moment I don't think it really happened but when my car was towed back home and was looked out they found out that it was my drive shaft and transmission that failed at the same time. I already knew my shaft was slowly going out but my transmission was always very strong. At this present moment the car will be sold as parts, there are some new parts in it still, or we will just completly junk it.
Poor car I feel bad because even though I did all I could for it I wish I had more of the cash to completly put it really close to show room condition. The Rx7 isn't a bad car and I'm not ******* it....In fact one day when I am so much more financially set I will get one again because it was fun while it lasted.
I wish everyone much luck and if you read all through this then I think I need to buy you a drink cause you earned it
