Cargo area under carpet is damp. Concerned.

I was lifting up the carpet in the hatch of my 7 today to look at how the floor works (reason being here:
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...81#post9813681)

I noticed that all of the first layer of carpet was damp and that the metal itself was fairly wet. I have never noticed this before. We had a huge amount of snow recently and I was wondering if it had anything to do with it. The hatch weatherstripping is all intact and appears to be doing its job. I've never seen water dripping down in rain or anything.

check the hoses to see that they are routed correctly, i.e. going out of the car not staying in

Check the hoses at the bottom on the "hatch canal?" and as well check in the corner at the bottom as well to make sure its not leaking water through the metal fold/cut that is there which is where mine is currently leaking.

I had a problem with water leaking past the bolts in the rear glass for the hatch struts.
