Arrow carboned up air pipe...

So since my 6ports are back pressure operated here's my delema. I have a header, presilencer, and PP muffler. When i first installed these things they 6 ports worked great. Now i can remove the rubber hose from the air pipe to the acutuators and barely any air comes out when i rev the engine. What kind of arisol canned chemical could eat away carbon out of that tube? I was thinking engine degreaser would do the trick.......

degreaser would eat the hose. Try Simple Green first, because it won't eat the hose. If that doesn't work, then go with some non-chlorinated Electronic Cleaner, then try Non-Chlorinated Brake cleaner. The chlorinated stuff will eat rubber.

Dont try Simplegreen- it wont be strong enough and its not to be used on aluminum-read da bottle. cap off one end of the tube and spray it full with either brake cleaner or wd-40, cap the other end shut and let it sit 4 a while.

Remove the rubber hoses, and spray carb cleaner into the metal line(s) make sure the exhaust is cold.....
Watch out for fireballs when you start it up.
