carbon buildup removal

I have discovered today that gasket remover that comes in a irosol can from advance auto parts works wonders as far as carbon build up in the intake manifold, irons and other places where there is hard oil build up. Just spray it on wait a few seconds an wipe it off. I would not use this stuff in the engine unless it is apart becouse it will most likelly will eat all of the rubber seals inside but as far as everything else goes this stuff does wonders. I thouth I would share this with people.

Good tip. Didn't know it worked well with carbon. I know it works ok for stuck on old gaskets.

+1 on careful of where is goes and what it touches becuase it eats the surface quite quickly of whatever its on and removes paint and mars powder coating.

That gasket remover stuff contains some really nasty ****. That the only way to make alot of progress, is using good chemicals, which are getting harder to come by now. Either that or they're like $50 a gallon.
