Arrow Carb question's 84 gsl! Please help!!

Ok soo my car(84 gsl) starts and run's good! But after it warms up i can hear this air sucking noise click on and my idle goes up to 1200 rpm's and it sounds like im running on one rotor!

I heard it might be the stutter valve or something? The air is going down the larger vacuum hose connected to the air cleaner on the drivers side.

If i plug it while it's sucking in air the idle will go back down. But etheir way my car seem's to have no power!

When i push on the throttle cable from inside my engine bay my secondaries dont open! do they open only when your driving? How can i check/fix this problem?

Also i took the top of the carb off. and im going to remove all the jet's and air bleed's and blast em with carb cleaner and reinstall! Anything else i should clean/check while the top is off?

I cants seem to find my idle adjust screw? I can clearly see the air/fuel screw but there is no idle screw next to it or below it? wtf?

Soo FB god's please help me out! I am just ignorant about this stuff and need your guidance!

Shutter valve is bad, from your description. You may be able to plug the hose, but it sounds like the valve is still closing the airflow to the rear rotor. Try unhooking the vacuum line going to the shutter valve. That will determine if the valve is bad, or the solenoid that makes it operate is malfunctioning.
Secondaries only open when the engine is under a load.
Idle speed adjustment screw is hidden under the accel pump housing, at the bottom of the carb. Looking from the drivers side, the area closest to the firewall, find the ~1" square w/4 screws, then look a little lower.

There is no gas spraying out those two vent nozzel's?

Whats going on? the carb itself is getting gas! my bowl's are full, why isnt it spraying gas?

I dont think i like carb's very much.

Often that is caused by the float needles sticking closed. Try tapping the carb aggressively with the handle of a screw driver or something similar. Did you remove the top of the carb?

Usually it is the other way around. The needle seat does not close causing flooding. If you read his post, he states that the bowls are "Full", but he is notting getting fuel sprayed from the primaries. He also states that he had the top off.

Perhaps you need some Coffee this morning?

I can pour a small amount of gas down the primaries and it will fire right up run about 5-10 sec and then die out.

So i need to double check my float adjustment? Maybe the Air Horn needs to come back off soo i know for sure the bowl on the firewall side has gas.

These carb's guy's im telling you! Im soo ignorant about em it drives me nut's!

Removed the airhorn again and the bowl nearest the firewall is empty but the one closest to the front of the car is full.

Im going to put fuel in the bowl and more carefully this time reinstall the airhorn!

Ok i put the Airhorn back on And it did look like the float closest to the firewall was stuck so i blasted it with carb cleaner and it moves like it should.

Went to fire her up and she roared to life! Idles perfect, now im just getting all the air pockets out of the cooling system!

Thanks for the tip's guys
