carb question

will an edelbrock 4bbl carb bolt up to a stock manifold

what would be a good carb for a street ported 12a

edelbrock 500 cfm thunderseries with a 1/2" open spacer on a racingbeat intake, oooooor a sterling on your stock intake.

no aftermarket carb will fit the stock intake, unless u have one of those aluminum adapters welded to it. if u have an edelbrock carb, then get the holley intake from RB. both RB and mazdatrix sell carb kits for what ur looking for.

It's not too hard to make an aluminum adapter plate to run a Holley on the stock intake manifold. Edelbrocks don't work too well on the stock manifold because the water pump is in the way; you need a Racing Beat manifold and a spacer for it to clear.

Personally, I'm partial to Webers. 48 IDA or 48 DCOE are both good choices.
