Question Carb question

I might be getting my friends carb from his 1st gen. He somehow flipped it, and everything is pretty much ruined eccept for a few parts. Because it was upside down, the float is apparently stuck, and I know that is important, would it be simple to unstick it? Someone told me I would have to "tap" it back in place, but he didnt specify what that ment. Hopefully this will end my car troubles..

With my luck, I ended up with one of the only first gens with almost perfect interior and nice looking exterior in my town, yet it dosnt run properly, when everyone else has a bad interior and exterior, but their car runs great (great for a first gen).

You might be able to unstick it by banging on it, but if it has been out of use for a while you might want to go ahead and rebuild it at this time.

There might also be fitment/use issues if it is from an older model. Good luck.

Its from an 83 I believe, and it was just recently flipped, and he pulled all the usable things.
