Carb Question...

Hey guys... Which 1st gen Carb is the better one to use for maximum performance. I know that there are two different ones.... Can Someone give me an idea of which carburator is better to run... The one with the "more open" top... or the one that is more of the venturies blocked off.

On our flowbench we havent seen any difference. I even went so far as to hog out the top to make it like a Demon, no difference. Doesnt mean at higher flow rates there isint a difference, but from what I can tell there isint. I know some in the IT crowd call the early carbs "big tops" but it doesnt mean they flow more.

You might check here for your next race carb. I know sterling has a more direct link to info, maybe someone can post up. Carl is too much of a gentleman to toot his own horn.
