Carb & Intake Manifold Component Pictures
Hello all,
I've taken the carb and intake manifold off my 1980 GS to fix an O-ring leak and am in the process of figuring out what all the components are; the FSM has gotten me so far, but I'm hoping an experienced set of eyes can fill in my knowledge gaps and correct my wrongs... Sorry for the very long post, I've coded my questions in red to make answering easier...
DSC_6228:
Pink: "Air Vent Solenoid" Is this thermal reactor related? Can it be unplugged since I don't have one?
Blue: Slotted: Air adjust screw (idle speed?)
Phillips: Mixture adjust screw
Green: Accelerator Pump
Yellow: What are these tubes for? =S (5 small, one large) Also what's the big hose next to it?
DSC_6229:
Grey: Choke Assembly; but why is there a vacuum diaphragm on it?
Orange: Dash pot
Red: "Throttle opener" I see how this works, but under what circumstance does it open the throttle?
Purple: Does this look right? What does this do? The linkage falls off it's lever quite easily..
DSC_6234:
Blue: Secondary Diaphragm.
Red: Richer solenoid, the wire for this broke inside the solenoid, am I screwed?
Green: This was hooked up electrically, but the two vacuum hoses were left unplugged... what is it?
DSC_6235:
Green: Float bowl window.
Red: Oil meter pump lever.
DSC_6238:
Blue: What's up with this nipple cover? What was it for?
Red: Three cables come through here.... one for throttle, one for choke and one that goes to an odd looking servo next to the engine... What is it?
Once again, I'm sorry for the long post with many questions, but I figured I would consolidate everything into one thread and maybe someday a n00b like me will see this thread?
Thanks in advanced,
Kam

Further reading and playing around has answered some of my questions.. The ones that remain in red I'm still clueless about...
Cheers!
