Well it looks like the weber is going to be the choice. I'll have to start some pricing though. There is a guy on here with a dellorto, but I get feeling risky about sending hundreds of dollars, thousands of miles away, across the border to a complete stranger. No accusations though! Just feels risky. I have experience with the holley from my muscle car days but the weber looks awesome and has positive feedback. I would like to hear from others running this combination and there et's and results. Whos thinks I should rebuild at 140 km or delay. A lot suggest going with lighter rotors and newer housings but I like the mid range torque the SE motor presents as well. I am thinking a half bridge on the secondaries with strettport on the rest combined with the weber may yield about 50 horse without much loss in torque by retaining the SE internals.

The problem a weber presents is that its only 2 barrel. So you have to feed it as you accelerate. You can't just plant your foot down and go like most 4 barrel carbs.
I personally think you'd save alot of money if you went Holley. $350 versus over $1000 for an IDA 48. Even the DCO and DCOE's are expensive, and thats before you get an intake manifold. Put the saved money into the engine or exhaust. And with a Holley, you can walk into a store to get it now. I wanted to go weber on my S4, but I couldn't find anyone who carried them. It was always 'We can get them for an arm and a leg'.
However, if your interested, I know someone that has a One peice Sidedraft intake manifold with a Mikuni setup on it for a 6-Port engine. You can just trade the Mikuni's for webers if you with a sidedraft.

well yeah if you just stomp on it at 1500 rpm it bogs, anything over 3,000 you floor it and your good to go. If your launching below 3,000 you got other problems to deal with first... like your driving skills LOL

Ya but if your passing on the street and your in a high gear (like 5th) and romp on it, its gonna buck and probably stall. Its the same effect as putting a carb thats too big for and engien on it. Like a 1000CFM holley on a 13B. But launching at 3000+ RPM all the time isnt exactly a clutch saver.

it doesnt stall or even buck, the only thing that will happen is if you are like 1200 rpm in first gear and you stomp on it, it will go WHOMp.......................WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
