Car wont start again
Hey all,
About a month ago, my car stopped working. My mechanic said it was likely to be the battery or the alternator (as I already presumed), so I went to Sears to get the battery replaced. They also did a check on the vehicle, and everything passed fine including the alternator, and they said it was more than likely the battery, since it was four or five years old. Now, however, the car wont start at all. It's completely dead!
What could be the possible issues? I'm going to take it to an electrical mechanic again next week, but a heads up would be nice. I was thinking that maybe there was some loose electric flow. In my brother's BMW that happened, the back light wouldn't go off, so it kept taking the juice from the battery and the next morning my brother would wake up to a dead battery. I noticed that the clock and interior lights in the car wouldn't work after the battery was replaced, so maybe the shorts are causing some loose electrical flow?
Thanks for any advice.

Yeah, you seem to be leaking juice somewhere. Charge the battery up, then test the voltage flow between your (disconnected) positive cable and your positive post on the battery. There should be a trickle of drain (clock, etc) but nothing major. If there is, start pulling fuses until it goes away. That will at least give you an idea of what circuit your issue is on. Have you changed any wiring lately (installed stereo, rewired float bowl solenoid, etc)?
