Car will not go into gear.

Car has been started but not driven for a little over a month.
Today, I went to start car and clutch went to floor. Car started but I could not put in gear. Any ideas what could be problem. Or what to check.

Thanks in advance for any help

Best price will be found at www.rockauto.com (at least the best that I have found). They are pretty good people to deal with too.

I think you have hit on a great new concept, ask for advice, recieve it, give parts away. If that's the case, I could have built at least one car from scratch by now.

So, gents, where's all my parts?

just recently dealt with this issue...look behind your oil filter, and check the slave cylinder for leakage..should that be leaking you can refill your mc, and pump the clutch pedal til you get the pressure back in it..depending on how bad the leak is you could drive it awhile, or less than a few hours esp in the cold weather...cinch to replace the components..but make sure you get a new rubber hose while you're at it, and replace both the mc and sc..will save later headaches
cheers
