85 gs, all stock. except the cats are hollowed out. when im slowing gaining speed, not opening the throttle alot, it jerks and sputters? when i throw the throttle wide open i got lots of power and no spudder. Also when i hit it hard to 7k then shift to 2nd and still push it, at 6k i loose alot of power

Sounds like a carb problem. How do the plugs look? Black? Check to see if your choke is sticking shut. Check for vacuum leaks. Check fuel pressure and volume.

 

i changed the plugs and im getting alot better performance, i think it spudders at low RPM because theres barely any backpressure cuz of hollow cats and i think the fuel filter hasnt been changed in ages

 

change that fuel filter and let us know how that helps.

i replaced the fuel filter. boom! worked, now i notice like 20% power gain and no problems, super smooth.
now im even markin off in 3rd gear
