for someone who appears to have spared no detail to the outside I expected that the engine bay would be something to marvel over...guess not

That rear end is horrible. Granted, everyone one has their own style of tastes, but something that bad should be kept in the dark. Same with the idea to do that. Besides, the Corvette rear end is so played out, it's sickening. Like I haven't seen it on enough (read: horrible) pickup trucks already. The only thing a Corvette rear end should be on is a Corvette.

Not bad, but he should've partnered up with somebody with mechanical ability. It looks like it can talk the talk, but not walk the walk. Know what I mean? Still, very nice job on modifying an old x7... I'm sure I couldn't have done any better.

Thats why it should only be STREETRACED at night. (Read about this one on a close thread, streetracing sd 905). "Rice Rice". Oh wait, he has, uh hem, stock motor.

If I was a millionaire(which by the way I am only $999,999 away from being) I would probably buy it, Go drifting with it then "accidently" drift the rear end ever so slightly across a wall, thus requiring the rear end to be replaced. With stock bumper.

It's all good except the taillights, muffler(s), and stock 13B. that rearend would look good if it still had the FB taillights and centersection.

I don't know. The tail lights are out of scale. Maybe if he had used old scool camaro, or even older impala trunk lid lights, then yeah it would have worked better. It also needs some sort of line below the lights. Looks like a previous body Eclipse bumper with vette tails on it. A skinny chrome bumper ala 67 camaro, or Mustang. The only thing I don't like beside the back end, is the wheels. It looks like the old cragar wire wheels with the baskets removed. All through the 80's you see those wheels, lol. Always missing the baskets. You had to buy the wheel and basket seperately too for some stupid reason.

The wheels are gay!

They look like $39.00 steel rims with some silver paint.....

It looks fine to me.....different is what matters to me.
Plus, like most cars (my own included), Im sure it looks even better in person. It would definatly suck to be rearended.....I considered something similar in back, but decided to keep the removable/bumping stock bumper.

Id just lose the mufflers and the interior color coordinating....

And of course,MORE POWER!!!!

OK, the body modifications seem like some high quality work and look great for the most part, but that rear end. Unforgivable is the word I'd use. It isn't just the corvette taillights, it also looks too flat and tall without the bumper and the wing is cheesy. You really have to ask yourself if you'll be able to tollerate it. I'll admit I love the front air dam, but I just couldn't bring myself to be seen driving this thing. The interior is also a problem. The yellow looks great on the outside, but on the inside it's just garish and ugly.

The other big issue is that the work is entierly cosmetic. The engine bay looks untouched and there's no information at all about the condition of the engine, suspension, brakes, etc. Under the skin, this is a high milage car without a lot of work. Not worth nearly that price no matter how good the body is.

Just don't.

I have actually seen the car in person. It was at my school for a weekend, I imagine he was visiting someone.

The widebody and paint is real nice looking. The lights are ugly as hell but molded in well. Exhaust is ugly, and now that I see what is under the hood, the whole car is a dissapointment. Interior was nicely done but I am not one for outside colors on the inside.

I have outside colours on the inside, but my car is Sparkling Black Metallic and having that on the centre consol, window switch plate, and instrument surround with clearcoat as well makes the otherwise mismatched silver, burgundy, and flat black plastic bits look more like the shiny piano black inside an RX-8. A tasteful mod if I can humbly say so.

No offense meant Manntis, I was talking about the bright yellows, reds, bright blues, white. Colors like that on the interior.

I have the same problem with my console, it's scratched and I am trying to figure out what to paint it. Tender Metallic Blue, a close to stock silver, or black.
