The effect would look better to do to an FD.

^No way. I can somewhat see it done to an FB, not an FD.

Good luck with the project. I can't get a distinct image in my head of what it will end up looking like, so get this project done so I can see.

As far as it looking better on an FD. That's the same as saying FD looks better. It simply a personal opinion.

Did you see the rust pics I posted? The entire back glass rear hatch seam is rusted out. This would be a way to cut all that out and get the bed parts from salvage yard. In theory....

Yeah, maybe you should make a truck out of yours.

FWIW stilettoman has always had some very interesting, and after looking very closely at his web page and the photos I must say Professional projects.

for some of you guys who want to do some really crazy crazy mods, he's a good inspiration.

Keep up the good work man

I'm following stilettoman's example for how the next engine in the GLC will be set up. Stock ports. It's actually my Cosmo's 4 port 13B but it will take a short detour in the GLC so I can test the driveability and all that. Then the real engine will be built.

I decided mine is too far gone even for ranchero. The body is rusted from the inside out. Gonna sell it as a parts car soon as I get the title in the mail.

My project looks conservative!

Just in case anyone thinks my project is "radical", look at these. Either of these will have a much higher "Gee Whizz" factor than mine, but I am going for a daily driver.

I photographed the Rennspeed "Bedouin" at the Geneva Auto Show in 2003. It is an all-wheel-drive 911. The pickup box is a bit high off the ground and rather limited in capacity, but at least it does have a tailgate. Pretty obvious who the intended market would be.

Then there is this beauty, that recently showed up on the Cardomain site:

Must've missed this thread the first time around.

Excellent. I was always fond of Earl's FC.
