Can you identify this engine block?

I posted this in the 'other rotary' forum, but I know that there's a lot more brainpower in here. If anyone can help me out, it would be much appreciated.

SE rotor housings
12A plates (can't see the port runners well enough)

you may also want to PM Jeff20B, he is pretty knowledgable when it comes to stuff like this.

First glance Id say S4 TII since its 4 port,13B and has rotor housing oilers.
But it appears to be cobbed together,so who knows what it all is!!
The water neck looks like S4.
The oil fill tube looks like 1st gen.
Theres no water nipple in the rear housing near the top,by the intake ports,so its not 2nd gen.

Best guess,Id say its 12A sideplates with GSL-SE rotor housings. But it could also be 4 port 13B sideplates with GSL-SE rotor housings.......more pics from different angles, and shots of the ports would help.

And thanks for not ripping on the paint, BTW. Hopefully it will clean up real nice. I'm coating the exhaust and will rebuild the 51IDA, but I just hope I can clean the block up real nice.

Remember, Mazda never stopped making 13B 4 ports in Japan, even in the ealry 80's to fill demand for Japan only cars as well. Luce, Cosmo, etc.

I say it's either a GSL-SE engine with 12 A Plates,
Or a Japanese 13B from the ealry 80s's
