Can I use 12a housings on a.............
I have a japan spec 12aT now I wanted to do an agressive street port and I wanted to know if normal 12a housing will work for this engine? I Just read in an other post that new housings should be used when doing a full porting job. and I dont want to lose power, cuz I only did the intake and not exhuast. any one able to toss me a bone.
You can use it as long as there are no flaking/deep scratches on the rotor housings. Now, for the side plates, Im not sure if you have a 6port or 4port 12-A. Im not a fan of 6port so I would do an a big streetport on 4port plates plus the usual e-shaft mod and pinning the rotors.
Now for the exhaust part, there are many opinions on how large it should be. I prefer big exhaust ports.

turbo 12A has four side intake ports.
Each bank has one injector, located in the intake port near the port opening in the trochoid chamber.
its a cross between manifold and direct-injection , Mazda calls it "semi-direct injection".
I know the engine is pretty basic but its my first turbo experiment if it goes good I'll surely move on to bigger turbo projects.
