Can I increase my fuel pressure, carbed

Are there any benefits or drawbacks to increasing my fuel pressure above the stock fac. recommendation? At what pressure do ya start jamming floats?

Equipment:
12a stock carb.

I don't see a point in increasing fuel pressure unless your running lean at higher rpm. If you really want to, then go get a new fuel pump, get a pressure regulator, and set your fuel pressure at whatever psi you want.
