Cable?

First off, pardon my ignorance, I tried search and could not find anything (although I'm sure I just missed it); and I the FSM from foxed.ca won't load.

I just replaced the intake gasket and coolant o-rings on my car (84gs) and after reconnecting the cables to the carburetor, realized I don't know what one of them is. There's the throttle cable, the choke cable, and this other cable that goes to a box on the driver's side fender, but there's no mechanical connection to said box. I'm not sure what it is, thought it might be for cruise, but the car has no cruise. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info.

It's not my car, just a picture I found in another thread about a completely unrelated topic. Although that's pretty much what mine looks like right now, minus the rust. The engine bay clean up begins after it runs again.

Yep, hot start assist. It pulls in based on signal from #2 thermo switch back of the water pump, to open the throttle when starting hot.

The cable goes to a linkage on the carb that looks similar to the choke linkage, but which is down low near the throttle cam.

I have a red jacket on the cable in this pic, so it's easy to follow (older pic)

The linkage for it is this one (see arrow:
