TX A/C Throttle Opener confusion?? Help?

OK,
Just finished stripping my Nikki down to the essentials. HOWEVER, since I did the rat's nest removal as well. I have a question that does not seem to be addressed in either of the tutorials.

When I remove the A/C Throttle Opener (weird black capped diaphragm with the retarded "J" hook on the bottom of it) while stripping the Nikki, I now have an unused Vac line from the A/C Solenoid.

QUESTION: Since I plan on raising the idle about 150RPM to compensate, can I simply block off the vac ports associated with the A/C Solenoid and chunk it?

Seems logical to me, however, simply not stated anywhere I can see in either tutorial. OR I could be blind and need to quit looking for answers at the bottom of beer bottles...

Any insight would be helpful and appreciated

If you removed the rats nest, you shouldn't have any solenoids.

The reason the A/C solenoid is mentioned in the removal, is to operate the opener.
If you ditched the opener, there's no reason to keep the A/C solenoid.
All it does is send vacuum to the opener when the A/C is engaged, in order to raise the idle speed. Best of all, it's actually adjustable, and when the A/C is off, you don't have a super high idle......

TX I guess those

replies mean yeah, cap off both ends and chunk it...

thats what i wanted to know.

thanks. Sorry I'm just not very CARB friendly. Normally I hit them so hard with bats they deform and become useless piles of pathetic scrap. BUT, I've changed my ways and decided to learn about the BEAST that is CARB
