A/C removal ?

I'm not sure how many of you, if any have done this, but if your gonna take the evaporator out how do you keep the heat working? I guess a pipe connecting the blower and heater core would have to be made. Anyone done this? Just curious because I'm gonna take it out of my GS, and I'd like to save as much weight as possible.

the evaporator core is in a plastic box, just tape up the holes where the ac lines go in and out and put the box back on.

The cars that came w/o ac came with a plastic duct that connected the blower to the heater. You might find one in a junkyard, if not then you could make a duct or follow the advice above and reinstall the evap box.

Dash removal is not needed.

Those plastic ducts are hard to find for sure, I actually got one shortly after this thread to put in my project at the time... Still have it too
