A/C+intake Question

I have a stupid question. I'm looking at getting a better intake for my 12A street port this summer (currently stock nikki), and I was wondering if I can still run air conditioning with a hi-po intake such as a Sterling or Weber IDA or DCOE setup?

"hi-po" I have never heard that term used since I have been on the forum. I believe that you can use ac on the aftermarket intakes, just most of us just tossed the AC in the first place to save weight. Most defiantly with the sterling carb as it uses the stock intake manifold.

ok, yeah, I figured it would work. Weather in the Willamette Valley in Oregon is really random, so I figured I could still use the a/c, not to mention the hassle of disposing of the freon or whatever.

yea you can, infact sterling actually modifies the carb so when you activate the a/c it boots the idle up a tad to compensate. thats the carb i would get if i were you. best all around performance, and customer service, and the price is right.

Yeah, I hear that sterling does really nice work. I've had my eye on one of those for a while now. I think that is what I'm going to go with
