A/C help - Main/eshaft Pulley trouble

hope someone can help me here....my Fb is an 82 which is equipped with A/C. I recently replaced that motor with what seems to be an SA 12A. I know there are slight differences between the Sa 12a and the FB 12a but one thing i have not seen that i am running into is the main pulley that the A/C pulley connects too. I was switching all my 82 parts to this replacement engine but i am having difficulties mounting the A/C pulley to the SA main eshaft pulley. There seems to be a notch sticking out of that pulley and it is not letting me mount my 82 AC pulley on to that pulley because of that notch. I am NOW trying to take off that pulley but that notch seem to be keeping that main eshaft pulley in place....i have never seen this before. I don't want to break anything. Anyway i can remove this main pully or the notch holding the pulley? Hope this is clear.....thanks in advance for any help

just grind it or replace the entire assembly. thats the disadvantage of pre-81 motors but on the positive side, you will always find TDC since there is only one way to install it. LOL

It's just a soft aluminum rivit. If you look at it funny it will shear off. Can you find a cold chissle in hot Texas summer?
