I quote:

"1985 Tender Blue gsl-se 24,500 miles in immaculate condition. And a 1984 gs charcoal grey 68 k automatic."

Still too much though.

He does not claim they are both GSL-SE. He says the other is GS, hence different wheels.

I must say having seen the SE at rotorfest that it is clean......

But WTF 30K is an enormous amount of money thats more than they were new....

I have sppent the last 13 years of my life in the automotive business (on long island) and i can say that these two cars will NEVER be worth 30 k

I'll bet the real reason he is asking so much is that he spent too much for these cars originally, and is trying to convince his wife of their "investment value".

Try buying a house in NY. That 30k will probably just cover the real estate and attorney fees.

You musta missed the FD on ebay from the original owner with 28k orig miles with a buy it now price of $34,000. Starting price was $28,000.

He said it hasn't been driven in years, he just started it up and let it run every now and then.

I Ebay stuff all the time, but I don't go looking for cars, as I figure if I can't inspect it myself then i would rather not think about buying it (plus shipping and all generally makes it a mute point. but come on 30K for 2 1st gens? I think Crack must be extrememly cheap thier in New York

If he was selling it, why did he not have a for sale sign on it at Rotofest? Don't you think rotary people would apreciate it more at an event like this? I saw it too an it was quite nice. Victor, wasn't it parked right next to yours?

I spent about 15 minutes or so chatting with him about the car..All i wanted to know is why he put the front air dam and rear valence on the car and why he used some silver screws to do it. I dont know about you but i think that although it may increase the looks of the car it decreases the value of a low milage original like that.... Also I wasnt too impressed with his knowledge of "7s" in general.

I just ran a CARFAX on it and i see that it was offered for sale at a dealership in Minnesota on 4/12/2005 I was thinking of using some of my connections to see if i can find out what dealership he bought it from and how much he paid for it.....

I think the whole thing sounds kinda flakey and i think it is a true showing of a "NON 7 Fan".........

My guess is someone came up to him at Rotorfest and said something along the lines of, "Man, that's a sweet mint -SE! I bet you could get $15K for that!". He gets back, knows nearly nothing about 7s, thinks to himself, "Hmm, if there's a tard that'll give up $15K, there might be one @ $30K!" and decides to test the water on eBay.

The water's cold, go home.

Is that a GOLD record on the wall, in the photos? Maybe a rich rock star selling it? =)
