MI Broken Wire [see pict]

I broke this wire while trying to remove my carb.
Can anyone tell me what this condenser looking thing is, what it does, if I need it?
[see pict]

Thanks!!

Chris

It's a condensor. Not sure where to find a replacement, but I would think that any condensor should work even if its not specifically designed for a 7...

Your lifting hook is backwards. Oh and I didn't bother to hook up the condensor. No radio yet so it doesn't matter at this point.

Is that a 84/85 thing only because I think any of my engines (all 83's) have that on there... And yea the lifting hook should be on the engine side, not the trans side....
