Smile Bringing my car back from deep storage

I have an 85 gsl-se that I bought almost new back in 1987 (or was it 1986?). Its been sitting in my garage with only 69,000km on it for the past 3 or 4 years.

I am thinking of bringing it out of storage, but the tires are shot. They are the original Pirelli 205/60R14 (if my memory is right) ... and they are vulcanized to the point where they are hard!

What can I do? Just replace them? Put wider, lower profile 14's on? I dont really want to change the original mags ... they are in new condition.

Just looking for suggestions! Thanks!

Welcome to the forum csddv!

Yeah get some new tires. www.tirerack.com is a good place to shop. Plus some guys here might give you specific recommendations. I don't have a GSL-SE so I can't help ya out.

I would definitely drain the gas and fill'r up with some new stuff. Your gas tank has a drain plug which should make the job easy. MMO like Terrh said ..... plus change the oil, coolant, spark plugs, cap rotor, etc. That should get 'er goin'.

Good luck and if you have an questions just shoot 'em our way and we'll see if we can help ya!
