alright so I have been thinking alot about how i can change my bolt pattern lately and I was just goin to get my discs redrilled but would it be possible to put say s4 gx rotor on my 84 gsl and use the same caliper or would i need calpiers to or is it not possible all together

Your better off taking the stock rotors to a machine shop to get them re-drilled. The baring diameter on the S4 rotors compared to the 84's is different and a custom baring is needed, for the inside one at least. I believe the outside one is the same though. CP Racing sells a kit to convert to the S4-S5 brake rotors and calipers, but its like $400 plus parts like the rotors and calipers.

Oh ya, the stock calipers cannot be used on the later rotors as the caliper is too small.

There is also the ReSpeed kit. Basically the same as the CP kit for a lot less $$$
But you still need to get 2nd gen bearings, hubs, rotors and calipers yourself.
