Brake problem

Hey guys, a little background on my car, because i havn't posted anything for a while.

I couldn't get my car started because I had a bad ignitor, and bad spark plug wires, I bought new wires, and a new ignitor, and I installed it all yesterday, and I couldn't get the car started because it was flooded, and its been like hella cold outside the past few weeks, so I never unflooded it.

well the other day after I put everything on the engine, I got in the car to try to start it, and i pressed the brake pedal out of habbit, and it went all of the way down to the floor with no resistance at all......and I was like.....wtf........because the day before when I was trying to start the engine and it wasn't starting, i pressed the brake pedal down, and it was normal.....it was just like pressing a brake pedal....haha ya know??......

long story short, I don't know what to do, I have searched all over the place on here, but have had no luck, I know that I have seen people post about this very same problem, because I remember reading the threads and stuff.

so anyways, I havn't ever taken brakes apart or anything......so i hope its not something to bad......i thought that maby something had froze in there or something, because it has been below 0 a few times this month

thanks for any help you guys can give me

One of the seals in the master cylinder might have been a little dry. Since it later was fine, you might be okay with it now but only time and driving will tell.

Grab a can of Seafoam and dump about an ounce down the small barrels of the carb, then crank her over and she'll probably fire right up (works for me when flooded). Good luck with it...

thanks for the help guys

I don't know if ill have the time to bleed the brakes this week, but yes I do need to do that badly....haha....because right now....i don't have brakes.....at all.....and thats bad...

the good thing, is that right now this isn't my dd, but soon its going to have to be......so I need to figure this crap out really soon.

about getting the car started, thanks for the input there also. Yeah i have heard pretty good things about sea foam and everything, I need to order some to run through my engine and everything.

I got my car started today with some starter fluid, i just sprayed some right in the carb, turned the key, and it started up within a second, it was awsome.

I still have alot of problems with my car right now thought, I need some suff for the hatch struts to be able to hook up, and I need to put on rb exhuast system, and I need to get my wheel wells welded closed, and just a bunch of random things like that.......weather strips for the doors......ect

thanks again for the help guys, ill post up as soon as I can take a look at these brakes.
