brake lights dont work

brake lights dont work

someone told me its most likely the sensor on the pedal being stuck. is this true? where exactly is it?

there is whats called a "stop light switch" mounted behind the brake pedal. when you push in the pedal, the pedal comes in contact with a plastic rod that actuated or completes a circuit, sending voltage to the lights to be activated. stuck, maybe. did you check your connection or test to see if you have voltage to the switch or to the tail lamp assembly itself?

also might want to check the condition of your interior harness underneath your driver side storage bin...

my hatch light and rear side marker lights didn't work because i had some corrosion on the wiring back there.
