Brake Kit Group Buy
We are on our last weekend before the group buy ends next week. I just wanted to make sure the SA/FB crowd knew about it.

It is essentially a copy of the CP Kit. I had the CP kit in my car and I thought it was great! The difference in breaking was AMAZING.
The only difference with the CP racing kit is that it's designed so you have a choice of 2nd gen 4 bolt or 5 bolt patern, whereas this kit forces you to move to the 5 bolt patern.
The 4 bolt patern option is especially handy if you get a GSL-SE rear end. For all the rear drum guys, it gives you 4 wheel discs and an LSD.
I'm pretty loyal to CP, but if you don't mind moving to 5 bolt, and can get the same kit for half the cash...

This kit works with 4 lug and 5 lug. Not sure where you got your information but it surly was not from my group buy post since it clearly states it will wok for both.
Please do not post mis-information about our kit.

Actually I went through your whole group post.
I did not mean to imply that you had directly copied the CP kit. I simply meant it as a comparison.
Sorry, I guess I didn't explain the kit differences fully.
The CP kit allows you to use the TII brake components with a 4 bolt hub.
That allows the 4 wheel disc setup I mentioned but gives the large rotor and 4 piston calipers fom the TII.
Although your kit allows for the 4 bolt option, it provides no real benefit over the GSL-SE brakes, and since you already need GSL/GSL-SE suspension to use the kit, why not just use the GSL-SE brakes?
I didn't want to have to say this, but the people buying you kit to use with 4 bolt 2nd gen hardware are giving you $135 for nothing...
So please don't come in to the 1st gen section and post dis-information.
As I stated,
If people want to go with the 5 bolt kit, yours is a better deal, no question.
But if GSL-SE owners want a real upgrade and to keep their 4 bolt patern, or if other 1st gen owners want to upgrade front AND rear brakes, then your kit is not it.

I state what my kit will do and the end user can make up his/her mind. Are you saying I am not being truthful?
We are working on a 4 lug solution at the moment. It will be a better rotor/hub than the GSL-SE or the 4 Lug FC stuff.

If I remember correct, the GSL-SE rear vented brakes are the same, or slightly larger than the FCs with rear vented brakes.. So, if you have a GSL-SE rear, you would essentially have brakes as good as the later model FCs with 4 pot front calipers.
I hope the 4lug solution works as well.. heh I like the idea of switching to an external hub as opposed to the hub/rotor combo. I think it should be easier to find an aftermarket rotor in this size that's lighter than stock, and cheaper to replace.. So, there may be ways to offset at least some of the negative weight issue brought on by the bigger brakes.

I don't want to start a fight, I just think that you shouldn't be selling this kit as a 4 bolt upgrade as there is no real benefit to using the 2nd gen 4 bolt stuff with the kit...

The 4-lug kit he's working on is a seperate hub/rotor assembly that is 4x4.5 with a rotor dia. of ~10.9", so you will be able to keep your bolt pattern while using the upgraded calipers.. Whether or not you'll be able to use stock GSL-SE rims remains to be seen however.
I really don't see how this kit is any less quality than CP racing's kit. They don't provide a means to support 4 lug rotors with upgraded calipers either, unless you redrill the 5 lug rotors.. Correct me if I'm wrong about that.

With the 4 pot calipers and a 10.9" rotor, I doubt it would fit a 14" rim... Since my rims are 15 and 16"...

can't the 4 lug hub be used with the 5 lug rotor and the 4-pot caliper? you just redrill the rotor and it slides on, right? or is the hub itself too different to accommodate this?
