Bowled Under
I will try to make this as brief as possible. Due what seemed to be a lack of power, my thoughts not enough gas I increased my fuel pressure by turning up the fuel pressure regulator (holly) and Holly red pump. I increased it too much the floats stuck it flooded wouldn’t idle ran like crap. Took the car out this spring could not unstick floats replaced seats, needles checked float levels. Started again fuel pours in way past site gas and floods. I remove adjusting screw on fuel pressure regulator place it back in and just make contact with spring. lacks power but does not stall much anymore. Did some reading checked site glass front near radiator perfect dead center, rear glass near firewall very low bottom of’ site glass can see gas trickle in. I do a search on forum it says infuccentt fuel supply blockage. Question if I increase fuel pressure should solve the problem. I don’t whant’ those floats stuck again. Is it possible with inadequate fuel pressure for one bowl to operate normal and the other bowl not’ get enough gas or is it something else’ yes I changed the fue’ filters. Any help would be appreciated.
Fuel pressure doesn't have anything to do with getting fuel into the fuel bowls. Raising the pressure does nothing for the amount of flow. Is this the stock nikki carb? if so I suggest you get a fuel pressure gauge and set the pressure at about 3 psi, then go from there. It sorta sounds like your pump is bad.
pumps' good
I do have a fuel pressure gauge inline to the carb, yes it is a Nikki pretty much stock reads about 3.2 pounds of pressure.' I cleaned the fuel inlets and the little screeens but again the pressure regulator' is' turned out as' far as it can go with probably no tension on the spring. I can increase the pressure but again' I' am jst trying to be safe not to get the floats stuck again. When I said low fuel levels I am refering to a document that says the fuel pressure could be low?
I dont know if this will help with your problem, but when my fuel pump died I had enless issues with fuel delivery and erratic performance.
The pump still operated and pressure was still round about right, but fuel vollume was very low, bout 200mls per min. Replaced pump and all was good.
Personally I think you are more likely to have a float level issue.

Okay, sounds like the real question is why do you have fuel filling one bowl up but not the other..... Two possibilities:
1. Rear fuel bowl is not keeping the fuel it receives, but is letting it run down into the carb. That way, the bowl would never fill because it is flowing out as fast as it is flowing in. If this was the case, then you should be flooding badly.
2. The rear fuel bowl is not receiving the fuel that it should. When you looked in through the site window, could you tell if the float was stuck in the "up" position? If the float is not dropping, then the bowl will not refil with fuel.
See if you can tell what that float is doing, and that should give a quick answer to what is really happening. Good luck.

More Info
Some more information and questions. I have turned the fuel regulator all the way out I am reading about 3.2 #s of pressure. I decided to turn the pump on without the engine running the front bowl facing radiator filled over the glass, the back bowl just about to the top of the glass. When the float bowls are operating correctly shouldn’t the fuel sop entering the bowl at the half way mark of the site glass? How much pressure can the floats take on a stock carb and still be able to shut off the fuel flow. Before I started the thread I did replace new needle seats pins springs and needles. I really don’t want to disassemble the carb again if there is some other solution.
What is the quality of your fuel pressure gauge? Lots of them won't read accurately at pressures that low. Maybe it is not showing you the true fuel pressure, and you are blowing by the float needles...
