bonez race pipe sound/noise

I'm going to put a bonez race pipe on my stock '85 RX7. Will this be to loud with the stock muffler? Anyone know how this sounds and did you feel an increase in HP?

I assume you are talking about the unit they sale at Rotary Performance.

My friend did the install on a stock '84 GS and it was very quite, the expansion chamber does a nice job of knocking down the noise. A few month later I got him a RB muffler and it even had a better exhaust note.

Noticed any difference, oh yea you can.......

Just do what I did:

RB header
Mini presilencer
Magnaflow muffler

That gets you a nice low exhaust note that is fairly quiet until you get on the loud pedal some and then it mutates into an angry tin trumpet with undertones of outboard.

I love it.

I had one of those on my 83 at one time - bonez is overpriced and uses cheap glass packing. The money is better spent on quality stuff IMHO.
