Bobbing Headlight

All,

Searched the site but couldn't find my question....

On my 79 RX-7, the passenger side headlight quickly "bobs" up and down when I'm attempting to put up the lights. It doesn't matter if I used the column switch or the dash switch. If I get out and catch the light in the up position and give it a gentle upward push, it will stay up. Seems to do this more when the weather is warm, than when it is cold.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mine did this to at times it would just go half way and then the "eyes" would look

To solve your problem.

1. Open your hood.

2. Activate your dash switch.

3. Then pull the 1st or 2nd fuseable link. Look on the side of the fuse block thingy. RETRACT HEAD LIGHT MOTOR...see it???

3a. Open and close the curcuit. Watch the moving parts..

4. See where the motor "spins" the "arm" thingy that rotates "piviots" on like a "ball socket"

I know its confusing, but when you do it you'll understand.

Thast most likely where your problem is. Unless you just need to tighten a couple 10mm and philips.

Good Luck
