i have an 81 with ahtermarket oil pressure and water temp guages, electric fan, fog lights as well as most of the stock electrical items. when i turn my blinkers on every thing pulses with the blinks. i tried adding motor and tranny grounds but didnt work. weak alternator? upgrade to higher amp?

Sounds like you're thinking along the right lines, with a grounding issue. Make sure that the terminals on the battery are very clean and tight, then check the connections to the starter. If those check out, then we'll have to dig a little deeper....

my 88 ford taurus also has this problem, i always though it to be a weak Alt. Also id my bro's civic hatch, when he has his system turned up when the bass hits the headunit dims as do the dash lights (he used to have a capacitor,b tut hat broke)..... could it be that his electrical system just can't supply all of the juice that is needed?
