blacked out lenses!

We all know Atkins Dan has his clear lenses up for grabs, but I decided to do the complete opposite.

Everyone knows my FB is everything black and silver, well now its moreso.

and today I'm doing the taillights, with the exception of the red reflector in the center.

You can actually see it better in the daytime, and just the same in the nighttime.

Before, in the day time it was hard to differentiate between the signal off or on. Now you can definately tell the difference. With it off, its black, with it on its orange. omg!

I was just showing what I spent some time doing a few weeks back. Its been raining non-sto for 3 weeks, and today is the first blue sky I've seen in a while. So I decided to take pics.

I'd gladly make and sell them, though! hahahahahah

all you did was spraypaint them black, hope you somehow have magic ways around light and signal laws.

The thing I hate about having them blacked out is the fact that in some states its considered illigal to do that. Don't know why though. They do look awesome.

here are my clear tail lights... I was going to get that lens black out spray that made by VHT(i think) but no one sell it around here. I have to order it online and pay upid shiping cost. I still have not made an emblem to fit inbetween the tail lights. Thats in the works. Notice how messy my garage is? Yup thats water under the car. Freaking garage is leaking like crazy.

To answer statement. Assuming it was a sectioned question/statement, since your skills of grammar are "teh suck." I did not just spraypaint them black. I used V.H.T. niteshades for $9.99

Regarding question number one. Yet again assuming it was a sectioned question. My magical ways around light involve the fact that NiteShades has been made to go on the outside, not the inside. This allows the light to shine through the first pigment and overcome the second pigment. Orange being the first pigment when light enters from the inside-out, and black being the first pigment when light enters from the outside-in.

I will also answer your second question. According to the signal laws there must be a red reflector on the rear of the car, and the rear sides of the car. I've taken steps to ensure that red reflectors are present. The rear tailights have the stock rectangular red reflector, and the rear sides will be improvised as I see fit. I have educated myself thanks to Manntis and his information regarding Atkins Dan's clear corners.

That looks pretty cool. You're using colored bulbs, right? I think it would actually look pretty damn cool if you paint the insides to match the body color, have the colored bulbs, and then have the clear lenses. I don't like the chrome look. Its become too much of a rice spectacle.

I was lucky enough to call around town and find a place that had four cans of VHT for 9.99 each. I went in for one can, and then went back for another. They no longer order it and are just waiting for the last two to be sold. The man at the counter was also nice enough to not even bother charging my tax. I just handed him a ten both times and left.

Well from what I can gather from his username his banning had to do with something immature.

I blacked mine out as well back in Dec of 2k5 BUT left on the rubber strips which actually hides the lights better so you really dont know there are lights there till you turn them on.

rotary_sex..you know, it's really funny how things come out sometimes. Like say, when some little kid comes around, pretends he's in college, and types like he's on perma-crack.

A couple posts back, you make a note of how someone is bad with english! Semi-quote, a couple letters / periods may be missing -- "um...english?"

Or or! A few more back, how you say, again, same stipulation as the last quote "my last alias has 4000 plus posts"

Funny..or is it? GTFO!
