Recently, you guys stated that there were no 1984/1985 RX-7's with black interiors.

However, down a little bit on this page you will see the post "I got a real nice 85 GSL !!!!" It is a yellow 1985 RX-7 GSL

The 85 GSL picture displays what appears to be a black interior... Is it really gray? What do you think about the picture he provided?

By the way, still on the look-out for a mint condition 1984/85 GSL-SE. I'm in the SoCal area. Must be completely rust free. If you hear of anything let me know

It's probably a very dark gray. Call it charcoal or smoke.

I have a gray interior '85 GSL. It can look black in some photos. I agree, black was not offered, just the same gray as other models.

yup its grey. i have grey door panals, black carpeting (not factory) dark dark grey dash, and grey seats (not factory) but yea its just a dark grey.

Go back and reread the thread starter (Node's) replies. He says the car used to be brown/brown, and the PO painted the interior trim black with interior paint.
