A bizarre coincidence...I think not

I know this sounds crazy, but for the last six months or so I've had issues with a "just off idle" stumble.... happened all the time...starting off from a stop light....down shifting while turning....I had to feather the throttle just right....otherwise the car would bog, other than that the car ran very well....thought it was a bad accelerator pump, maybe a dirty carb...no matter am going to install a Dell soon.

Anyway, about two weeks ago I replaced my alternator and A/C belts...I took the car for a test spin without reinstalling the fan....no stumble (actually very little)....I thought "could the fan be the cause?"....I then replaced the fan....still no stumble????

How can it be that replacing two belts could cure this? Perhaps it's just a bizarre coincidence....but it's gone...and I'm happy!

Sounds like your idle mixture's too lean, I'm almost positive.

Buy a quality wideband gauge and o2 sensor. Takes out all the guessing about your mixtures at idle or cruising. My car idles right at 14.3
