A bit of a silly question, actually...

Not long after I bought it, I took my SA for a driving vacation: LA -> Phoenix -> Dallas -> New Orleans -> Omaha -> Denver -> LA.

No issues whatosever. Of course, both the car and I were a good bit younger then, but both had also suffered years of neglect prior to meeting up.

I've been on 3 very long road trips with my car. From London, Ontario (2 hours east of Detroit) down to Deal's Gap, which is an hour south of Knoxville. 800 miles one way and I've done that one twice and so far only had to change a belt. Also taken it from London to Winnipeg, Manitoba last October which was about 1400 miles one way. Not a single problem there and I averaged about 400miles/tank. The worst part about the roadtrips is the stiffer than factory springs and shocks, which make driving the northern states very fatiguing, since the Interstates are very beat up. 20 hours straight through Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota. I was really happy when I was able to get out of the car longer than paying for gas. On top of all that I beat the hell out of her at autocrosses and only grenaded one clutch, which should have been replaced with an aftermarket unit the first time, but now has an ACT that should hold up to the abuse. I also am not very gentle on the street.

The most I've been able to pack into my car is two FB seats, 4 Sumitomo 215/50/13 tires, a duffle bag, my laptop and a large air mattress w/pump (deflated of course). Of course I couldn't see out the passenger side window or the rear view mirror, and the Canada Customs officer gave me a strange look, but it all got in there. If your planning a long trip and are creative with your packing you can fit quite a bit in there.
