Big Brake Conversion

K i have a quick question for the knowledgables here.

For the Re-Speed big brake conversion kit, it says you need TII calipers, rotors and pads.

My question is; are TII calipers and rotors different from N/A 2nd gen calipers.

There has been mixed info in different threads about needing just any second gen calipers and rotors or TII specifically.

I know some of the 2nd gens came with a 4 lug pattern so those rotors wouldnt work, but what about the calipers?

Thanks in advance

Jesse

Any year GXL, Sport, '88 GTU. These NA models all have the same calipers and vented rear discs as the TII.

You're looking for 5-lug hubs and rotors, and 4-piston calipers. If you find them on an NA car, then so be it. They'll work. Realize that the FC guys are looking for 5-lug suspensions for the same reason that 12A guys look for GSL-SE suspensions. There's always a chance you'll have found a swapped car.

So if I was buying New/refurbed Calipers would I need the hard suspension or normal suspension?

On places like rockauto they seem to be different. How do I tell the difference, or does it even matter as long as its a 4 piston?
