Absolute Power is Awesome
Ugh, why did they ever have brown on brown? It's not a sports car color, it's a 70's station wagon color. If I was a dealer, I'd at least rinse out the engine bay before taking pictures.

Nice car. A few "devil's advocate" observations:
1. They disclose "typical stone chips on the hood" but no close-up pictures. (and how are stone chips "easily correctable"?)
2. The following statement coming from a used car dealer sounds more than a little suspicious: "...Clean Carfax, and has only been issued 1 title...translation being that this vehicle has had one owner". A dealer should be aware that the number of titles Carfax lists can easily be--and often is--incorrect. Carfax only "estimates" the number of owners and does not include ownership history as part of the Carfax Guarantee. It sounds like the seller is very carefully trying to imply it is a one-owner car without actually making the claim themselves. Is this misleading?
3. The listing says "leather seats" yet in the photo they are clearly vinyl and cloth. Honest mistake?
4. Engine compartment has a lot of dirt, and rust in radiator area
5. Apparantly the antenna is broken
6. Tach does not work
7. Air conditioning does not work. (When they say "could probably use a charge" does that mean they guarantee the system is functional and free from leaks?)
8. It could be due to the lighting, but the carpet appears to be two different colors. The front looks like it is the darker brown from a S3 (84-85) and the rear looks like the original lighter brown from a S2. (again, this might simply be the photos)
9. Something not quite right about the muffler tips.
10. Seller ebay id is one month old, since May 3 2004. Did they have a previous id?
These observations may be unfounded and/or not significant; just being critical. It is a nice car. BTW, brown was a popular color for British sports cars.
