bet

i made a bat with my friend that the rotary engine produces more torque than a pistion engine but he wont gimme the money unless i have stats. so if u got any or now were i could get them let me know

Well, I assume you specified torque per unit mas of gasoline... otherwise you could lose based on semantics.

A rotary produces more hp and torque per cubic inch or per liter then your average piston engine.

The torque is the weak point on rotaries, that was a bad bet to make. You might be able to salvage it if you apply it to a VTEC Honda motor.

well, the 2 engines would have to be similar, so find a piston engine as close to 1.2 or 1.3 and then compare, other wise you lose hands down cuz no rotor is going to produce more then some of the big V8s out there.

Measure the Rotary's torque in in/lbs... But uhh.. Don't write that down.

Nah, even then you lost...

Turbo? I know the S5 13BT makes more torque than the stock I4 2.6l in my Truck. When the I4 keels over, you know what time it is!
