Question best fuel pump setup?

i have a '79 that i'm installing a BAE turbo kit on. i've heard both good and bad about the kit...so i'm trying to take my time and do it right- picked up a boost guage and air fuel meter.

anyway, what's a good fuel pump to use? i'm looking at a holley 14psi with regulator for $100 at summit, and i'd put a inline pressure guage on it as well.
also, how accurate is an autometer fuel pressure guage? i'd like to keep an eye on pressure while the engine is under full load.....or is an inline guage better?
btw- the kit uses the stock carb.

thanks-

chuck

You should try a "SEARCH" for that, as it has been covered a few times even recently. The Search is on the upper right corner of the screen.

1) The Holley pump should be fine as as long as it has flow/volume needed for your HP application
2) Check the "Single Turbo Forum" on this site.
3) Go to Yahoo Groups and sign up for the Blow Through list.
4) Get a rising rate fuel pressure regulator, so you don't flood out after every boosted run.

Good Luck.

not sure who the guy was, he was from canada though. met me near port huron in michigan. i think i got ahold of him from this forum or another rx7 one.

the BAE kit is a draw through setup- but i'd like to convert it to a blow through with an intercooler. i guess i'll know in a few weeks how well it works.

is a rising rate regulator really needed on a draw through?

No. For some reason I thought you stated blow through. Unless you really like crappy performance, impossible cold starting, impossible hot starting, don't install that piece of crap.

Draw throughs are really ANCIENT technology. Get a Holly, a bonnet, RRFPR, an intercooler, and enjoy a reliable system.
