Best street brake pads.

Leaving everything stock, my breaks work great. They are just starting to squeal a bit. What is the best shoe/pad for the rear drums... (85 GS) and front discs in everyones opinions.

Sorry, definatly street. This is just a work commuter. EBC Green pads sound like a good non squealing/dusting pad. But what about the drum shoes?

The Green pads are very agrresive and great for light track use, very dusty and noisy.

If you want very good front brakes for the Rx7 go buy a set of factory (not aftermarket) brake pads. They really are great. Unless folks bought their cars new, few folks have ever really tried them! Most people end up with aftermarket pads.

If you want good pads for hard street driving, autocroos, and a onec and a while trck day, I like the Hawk HPS+.

Good luck

I'm a little intimidated by dealer prices. Isn't there a good all around street pad thats not loud or dusty?

Again, Axxis! For street, go with the Deluxe.

Ive had no squeal problems at all with my EBC greens at all 4 corners. They work great when cold and have been very kind to my rotors. They do dust a bit,but with white wheels, what'cha gonna do?

I will say this...I had Hawk HP pads before the EBC's and they stopped AWESOME.....but they were very noisy and dusted 10 times worse than the EBC greens.

I have the same question, anyone know any "performance" brake shoes?

I've found OEM replacement drums by Brembo, but can't seem to find shoes, other than replacement.

Axxis Metal Masters are great, Axxis Ultimates rock and can be used for autocrossing maybe even HPDE....Best value out there IMO.

Not for racing at all though
